Privacy Policy – Folio Receipt Scanner

1. Overview

Folio Receipt Scanner allows users to digitize, extract, and organize their paper receipts using advanced OCR technology. The app does not sell, rent, or share personal data for marketing or advertising purposes. All data is collected solely for app functionality, performance improvement, and subscription management.

2. Data Collected and Purpose of Use

• Receipt Images (Photos/Videos): Uploaded by the user to extract text and create expense entries via Gemini OCR API.
• Transaction Data: Extracted from receipts (amount, date, merchant, category) to provide spending summaries.
• Email Address: Used optionally for account creation, support, or notifications.
• Device and Usage Data: Collected via Adjust SDK for anonymous analytics and installation attribution.
• Subscription and Payment Data: Managed through RevenueCat to verify active subscriptions and plans.
• OCR Data: Processed through Gemini OCR API (Google AI) temporarily, not stored by Google.
• Cloud Storage: AWS Cloud is used for encrypted data storage and backups.

These providers are bound by agreements limiting data use strictly to providing their respective services.

4. Tracking and Advertising

• The app does not track users across other apps or websites.
• No advertising identifiers (IDFA) are collected or used.
• Adjust SDK runs in anonymous mode and does not link data to user identity.
• RevenueCat is used only for subscription validation, not for marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

• Receipt and transaction data are stored as long as the user account remains active.
• Subscription data are kept for up to 30 days after cancellation for audit and support.
• Analytics and attribution data (Adjust) are retained in anonymized form for up to 24 months.
• All user data stored in AWS is permanently deleted within 30 days after account deletion.

6. User Rights

Users have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of their data. Requests can be made by emailing bilge@codera.studio. Identity verification may be required before processing such requests.

7. Account Deletion

Users can permanently delete their Folio Receipt Scanner account directly within the app settings. Upon deletion, all user data stored on AWS (including receipts, OCR data, and subscription information) will be permanently erased within 30 days.

If a user prefers to request deletion manually, they can email bilge@codera.studio with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." Identity verification may be required for security purposes.

Once an account is deleted, it cannot be recovered.

8. Subscription Information

• Title: Folio Pro (Auto-Renewable Subscription)
• Length: Monthly or Annual, depending on the plan selected
• Price: Displayed in-app at the time of purchase
• Payment: Charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase
• Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store account settings.

This app uses Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

10. Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated as necessary to reflect technical, legal, or operational changes. Users with a registered email address will be notified via email. If no email is available, the update will be announced within the app upon opening.
